Without either AirPods or Watch, the app still works as a meditation timer with overtime mode and session journaling — but no live heart rate.
Make sure either AirPods Pro (worn in your ears) or Apple Watch (worn on your wrist) is connected and that you've granted Heart Sit access to HealthKit (Settings > Health > Data Access > Heart Sit). Heart rate data typically appears within 5–10 seconds of starting a session.
Yes. Heart Sit reads heart rate from any HR-capable Apple Watch model. When you open the Heart Sit Watch app during a meditation, it forwards your live BPM to the iPhone in real time. The Watch app also functions as a remote — you can pause / resume / stop from your wrist.
Yes. Heart Sit supports background execution. Lock your screen, put the phone down — the session continues with heart rate capture, timer, and bells all running in the background.
All session data is stored locally on your device. Nothing is sent to any server. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
Open any session in Session History, tap Export CSV at the bottom. The file will be shared via the iOS share sheet — pick your destination (Mail, Files, Notes, etc.).
In Session History, swipe left on any session to reveal the delete button.
Yes. Open Settings, enable "Interval Ding," and use the slider to set intervals from 30 seconds to 10 minutes. You can preview the sound before applying.
No. Heart Sit makes zero network requests. The app works entirely offline.
