Heart Sit ("the App") is a meditation app that reads heart rate data from AirPods Pro or Apple Watch during meditation sessions. Your heart data never leaves your phone. There are no accounts and no servers of our own. From version 1.6 the App sends anonymous usage statistics, described below, and you can turn them off.
None of this is sent anywhere, including to the analytics service.
To learn whether people come back and which screens help, the App uses TelemetryDeck, a privacy-focused analytics service run by TelemetryDeck GmbH, Germany. It sends short signals such as “a session started”, “a session finished” or “Trends was opened”, with coarse details only:
Each device is counted with a random identifier that is hashed on your phone before it is sent. It cannot be linked to your name, Apple ID or email, and it is not used to track you across other apps or websites. There is no advertising and nothing is sold.
Turn it off: Settings → Privacy → “Share anonymous usage stats”. It stops immediately.
Heart Sit reads heart rate data from Apple HealthKit during meditation sessions and writes completed mind & body workout sessions back to HealthKit. This data is:
Heart Sit cannot access your health data without your consent, and you can revoke access at any time in Settings > Health > Heart Sit.
Meditation session data — duration, heart rate readings, intentions, mood, context tags — is stored locally on your device (UserDefaults and local JSON files). It is deleted when you delete the app, and you can export it yourself as a CSV file.
If you turn on the daily reminder, the notification is scheduled on your device by iOS. No server is involved.
When you export session data to CSV, the file is generated on your device and shared via the standard iOS share sheet. Where that file goes is entirely your choice.
The only network requests the App makes are the anonymous statistics above. With them turned off, Heart Sit makes no network requests and works fully offline.
Heart Sit is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone.
